Date/Time field should be Date&Time field

Timestamps are only included on Created Date and Modified Date but it is useful to have a specific timestamp that will not update every time the row/sheet is modified. This would be a huge help especially when using the Duration field or other formulas. Either update the Date/Time field to include the time like Created Date and Modified Date, or allow the function to freeze a modified date when criteria is met.

@Matthew L. This would be great to have something a little more user friendly, but here is a method I developed a while back for this.

You must first have some sort of unique identifier on every row and the modified date type column. Next you would insert a text/number column with a basic cell reference to the modified column. Then you would create a second sheet that will be the recipient of a copy row automation triggered whenever you want to capture the date/time stamp.

The text/number column with the formula will be brought over to the other sheet as static data which in turn can be brought back to your original sheet using an INDEX/MATCH.

I agree. it's possible to do the copy row automation, but when working with long-running sheets or multiple daily changes, having to create automations like copy row are slow, buggy, and generally not as accurate (as the copy row automation may take a long time to trigger). Additionally becomes an issue when you need multiple time rows on a single entry (for instance, it would be so much easier to record (clock in/out times in two columns, rather than copying the row to a log file, and index/match to first determine the login/out status and then the time and id.
