Web Content Widget displaying dashboards scrolled to the bottom by default

Hi Community,
I am using the Web Content Widget to display multiple Smartsheet dashboards on a centralized "master" screen.

I’m struggling with a display issue: when the main dashboard loads, all of the embedded web content widgets automatically scroll to the very bottom of their respective views. This forces users to manually scroll back up to the top of each widget to see the primary header information.

I would like the embedded dashboards to default to the top of the view upon loading.
Has anyone else encountered this "auto-scroll to bottom" behavior? Are there specific settings within the source dashboard or the widget parameters that I should adjust to ensure it displays the top of the page first?

Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @Pestomania There’s no official setting to force Smartsheet embeds to load at the top - try these workarounds, and contact support for a potential feature request.

• 1. Check that your embed URLs don’t use any hash fragments (like #section). Use the direct dashboard link.

• 2. If using an iframe, try adding #top to the link (e.g., https://app.smartsheet.com/…#top). It may not work, but worth trying.

• 3. Adjust the source dashboard to make it shorter vertically, or put important info at both the top and bottom as a workaround.

• 4. Test in different browsers. Sometimes browser behavior affects how widgets load.

• 5. If your platform allows scripts, you can try:
  var iframe = document.getElementById('smartsheet-iframe');
  iframe.onload = function() { iframe.contentWindow.scrollTo(0,0); }
  But this probably won’t work due to browser security (cross-origin issue).

6. If it’s still an issue, contact Smartsheet Support. This is a known limitation and the more people ask, the better.
