Resource Allocation and Tracking

Good afternoon community,

We are in the process of rolling out Control Center and Resource Management. I am curious how everyone is tracking their resource times, availability and allocation? For example, we are dedicating 35% of an FTE's time (outside of the PMO,) to project time. Currently, we are forecasting our task duration and for the "% allocation" inputting 35%.

This creates an allocation of 35% every day of the task duration for the resource. If a resource is assigned multiple tasks in a day then they will show as over allocated.

How is everyone handling their allocation and availability?

Hi @JBuchanan,

Have you taken a look at Workload tracking in Smartsheet and the Allocation Heatmap within Resource Management as well as Resource availability within the Schedule view?

Hopefully some of our Community members will provide information about how they’re handling their allocation and availability too.
