Smartsheet Support Documentation does not have a way to duplicate, copy, or export a group in admin.smartsheet.com/manage/groups There is, however, a workaround that doesn't appear to be posted anywhere so I'm sharing it here: Open the group in the group list at admin.smartsheet.com/manage/groups Select "View Group" Select…
Hi Guys, Created a basic script to download all PDFs from a sheet. Use case: I use Document Builder to create documents from field inspections. However, we need to store these in sharepoint for redundancy. This script basically pulls all "PDFs" so you can then migrate them where you need to. I don't want to pay an…
I was trying to use the Scheduling: Create Workflow Schedule module in Bridge to set up a 60-minute timer that would alert our team if another workflow didn’t complete within that window. I was struggling with how to pass and access state values between the workflows. After working with a Pro Desk support agent, we figured…
Today, when needing different allocations (%) for individuals assigned to the same task, I need to have separate lines/taskentries for each person. While this is OK, it would be an improvement/ease managing a plan, if one could have one task entry for multiple persons and adjust the allocations separatly if needed.
Our team prefers viewing resource allocation in hours rather than percentages. Currently, the Resource Management tool defaults to syncing Allocation % only. Is there a way to sync the Hours column instead and display allocation in hours in the Resource Management tool? In the Assignment Details report, availability can be…
Is there a formula that can be used to calculate Allocation % based on planned start and finish date (duration) entries? My allocation % is right next to the planned start and finish date columns, and I am hoping it can use the duration to determine allocation %. I would like to avoid having to enter allocation % directly…
I'd like to see a notification alert when adding a contact if they are over allocated somewhere else. Currently, the heatmap at the side only shows that a resource is over allocated, yet still allows you to schedule. There should be some sort of stop mechanism so this does not occur. Having an alert that the contact we are…
I primarily work in card view, running the project via Scrum methodology. When I move level 1 cards into the 'done' column, it doesnt move the level 2 subtasks into 'done' as well. This is an expected outcome for Smartsheets, but I'd argue that when working in card view, you would only move parent card into 'done' when all…
Is there a way to get a report of anyone in the tool who has no assignments (0% allocation) or is over-allocated (>100% allocation)? I can view this information at a glance live in the Schedule tab with the Allocation Heatmap, but I'd like to export the information in a table (name, email, allocation percentage).
Enhance Sort by feature with more criteria than just: First name, Last name, Role, Display and Availability. Nice additions would be Location and custom criteria so you can cluster the results in your view while still being able to see all results.
I am trying to create a section at the top of the projects Gantt that shows the total allocation % for each resource in each project phase and in the project overall. I need this to not double count in resource manager, but just roll up each resource's allocation % from a Phase and the project in total. I've tried adding…
Hi Smartsheet, I recently renewed my Smartsheet subscription, and now I can no longer see my workspaces. This has never happened before, and I’m concerned about recovering my data. Could you please assist me in restoring access to my workspaces? Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards,
This new functionality will not work for us and will cause us to have to update every row: "Starting at the end of August 2024, new rows added with astart date, end date, and contact field in sheets connected to ResourceManagement by Smartsheet or with workload tracking enabled will automatically default to a 100%…
