Upcoming changes to the Smartsheet login experience

(Updated March 17th, 2026)

Smartsheet is relaunching our updated web login experience, and you'll soon notice an updated login page. This is a planned change; sign-in has been refreshed to make it clearer and easier to use, with a simplified layout and a more streamlined flow.

What's changing

Updated visuals and a cleaner page layout
A clearer step-by-step sign-in flow
Your most relevant login option surfaced more prominently

Initial release and rollback

After releasing for the default (US) region on February 9th, we identified issues that caused some users to be locked out of Smartsheet, and rolled back the change to restore access while we addressed them. We have since resolved the underlying issues.

When will things change?

We will be relaunching these changes on April 6th, 2026.

No action is required — we just wanted to give you a heads-up so you know the updated visuals are intentional and safe.

What's not changing

How you sign in
Your login settings, permissions, or account access
Your data, sheets, or work in Smartsheet

Good morning, will the change also impact users who are login to Resource management using the standalone URL (not going thru Smartsheet)? We use the Sign in with Smartsheet option.

Hi, maybe I don't understand, but what is this needed for (besides visual)…?

Assuming that:

the sys admin selected only one or two login option for their organisation
one of the options is SSO (most enterprises)

the new login just adds one more step to get access to the "Login with Microsoft".

Or am I missing something?

Several users in our locations report getting an error about slow loading times due to connectivity or feature updates and then it times out and won't let them log in. They have no issues with any other app and it has been a handful all in the last week though the rest of us are still in. IT has confirmed connection for them and cleared cache etc. Are these issues related? We are in the US.

Hello @Renee Jonas — please submit a support ticket about these issues. The aforementioned updates to the login exp were released and then subsequently rolled back on Feb 11th — and have not yet been re-released — so any issues you're experiencing here should be unrelated. We have not seen any lingering issues with login at scale since rollback.

We are working to finilize timeline for rerelease of these changes, and will provide at least 15 days proactive notice to primary system admins before making a change.

Does this explain why my SSO is not working and why I get kicked out of every session after logging in? My work is not being saved and my stakeholders with whom I share my screen all day long are really frustrated by this. I've raised an internal ticket and it's not in my environment. Help!

The Smartsheet does not automatically add two slots for two when it’s more than 5 hours nor does it add it when two LEP’s are listed and require two Interpreters if they'll be interpreting for more than two hours. Will this issue ever be fixed?

If our organization logs in with the "Sign-In With Microsoft" button, what would that log-in page look like? I've checked the other thread and don't see a mock-up of that log-in landing page. Thanks!
