Live Link in Request and Update Automation

Question

I have created a Request and update automation. In the customized message I include a field/column that includes a url using {{column name}}.

When testing the automation, the url is a live link in the email message (this is great). The message ask  the user to review/complete the linked release form (i.e., the embedded url) and to open the request to confirm completion along with providing other information in the request. My concern and what I would like to fix, is that when the request is open, the URL in the body of the message is no longer live.

My questions:

Is there a way to make it live in the request view of the customized automation message?  Is there a way to NOT show the customized message included in the email notification and in the Request view?

Is there a way to embed a live URL in the request field?

I have tried the same thing… The only way to include a live link is to put it in a field on the worksheet and include that field, unfortunately, there is no option to give access to ONE column without also giving a link to the entire underlying sheet.

I have resorted to putting the URL in the body of the email with a "Please copy and paste the following URL into your browser:"

I hate it, as "Please copy and paste" a URL is very outdated and an extra unnecessary step for the user…

If you figure out a way, PLEASE post it!!
