Anyone else having issues with search in board view not returning results?

Question

I've just got a new team using Smartsheet in board view for easier collaboration. One issue though, is the search function is only returning matches when they're in the primary column - not in any other field. This isn't ideal and must be a bug. I've logged it as such but keen to know if anyone else is having the same issue?

Our current workaround is to switch to card view to search (no issues there) or use a filter - but not ideal, and one would think the search function should return the same results, regardless of the view?

Hi Genevieve,

I've actually logged it as a ticket as to me it seems like a bug. Now with the news that card view will go and board view will replace it, surely all the basic functionality of card view is carried over into board view - especially the search function? To only search the primary column just seems like an odd restriction. Will log it as an idea but please internally pass info onto the product team, this feels like a downgrade as opposed to an upgrade!

It's currently expected that Search only pulls data from the Primary Column - please see the note in this Help Article:

I know that the team is continuously working to improve these newer views and that Search is one of the features they're looking into. However if you would like to pass your feedback to the Product team, please feel free to create a Product Idea post here in the Community!
