Transferring ownership across plans

I am trying to transfer the ownership of all assets created by a colleague of mine. However, because his team did not know that our company had an Enterprise account they purchased a Business account and then created an entire business critical dashboard.

I am licensed user on our company's Enterprise plan. I need this colleague to transfer ownership to me, but my email address is not allowed because he is on a separate plan.

They are trying to cancel their plan but can't because we don't want to lose access to their assets when the work becomes read-only.

How can we transfer ownership across plans? Additionally, we developed all this for a client, eventually we need to transfer ownership to them, and, of course, they are on a separate Enterprise plan.

The clean way to handle this is to temporarily bring the accounts into the same environment. Your colleague needs to be added to your Enterprise account (or you to theirs, but Enterprise is usually the better choice). Once they’re part of your Enterprise plan, they can transfer ownership to you normally.

One important thing: don’t cancel the Business plan until ownership is fully transferred or everything is copied. Once it downgrades to read-only, you risk losing the ability to properly migrate or reassign.
