Good news for developers and teams working at scale: webhooks are no longer limited by sheet size. Previously, if your sheet exceeded 20,000 rows, 500,000 cells, or 400 columns, webhook operations would fail with error codes 5634 (rows exceeded), 5635 (columns exceeded), or 5636 (cells exceeded). This was a pain point for anyone managing large project portfolios or building integrations that needed to keep up with growing datasets.
That limitation is now fully removed. All webhook operations (create, enable, disable, and update) work on sheets of any size. Callbacks fire reliably for all events regardless of sheet scale. No new API calls or parameters are needed; your existing webhook implementations will simply stop encountering those size-related errors.
If you've been working around this limitation with polling or manual processes, now is a great time to revisit your integration architecture and move back to event-driven webhooks. Learn More.
