I'm looking for a way to present project progress to clients in a more visual and easy-to-understand format within Smartsheet. Currently, we track multiple project milestones and statuses, but instead of showing them in a standard grid or report, I'd like to display the project's current stage graphically—similar to a project roadmap or infographic timeline. For example:
✅ Project Released (Completed)
✅ Site Readiness (Completed)
🔄 Production (In Progress)
⏳ Dispatch (Upcoming)
⏳ Installation (Upcoming)
⏳ Handover (Upcoming)
Ideally, the client should be able to see:
- The overall project journey from start to finish.
- Which milestones are completed, in progress, or pending.
- A visual indicator showing the current stage of the project.
- A timeline or roadmap similar to the example below.

My questions:
- Is there a way to create this type of visual roadmap directly in Smartsheet?
- Can this be achieved using Dashboards, Widgets, Reports, or WorkApps?
- Has anyone built something similar for customer-facing project tracking?
- Are there any third-party integrations or creative workarounds that can help?
Any examples, screenshots, or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
