Trying to have autonumber show in a webform.

Hi all,

 

I am creating a survey in SS, with a form for collecting answers. I'd like to use a auto number column as a way to create a unique ID for each row. However, I'd like that unique autonumber to show up in the form. This is so users when filling out the form, can see the unique ID associated with their submission.

Any way to do that? It seems the auto number function doesn't roll over to the form?

Hello...

I have faced the same problem, and the only way I could find (Based on useful hints from members of this community) was to have an automatic email notification sent to the form sender including the "AutoNumber" field. 

For this, you will need the form sender to enter his/her email address as a field in the form...
