Cell Restrictions

Hi there

 

Does anyone know whether you can add restrictions to cells (or columns/rows) to specify the number of characters/words used?

For example, i'd like to restrict some cells to a maximum of 30 words, to ensure people don't input excessive descriptions.

The cells/fields cannot be restricted, however if you are using the Web form for data entry then the form text box can be set to a specific number of lines.

You could also use an indicator column that counts the number of letters { Len() }and displayes it.  Add to this conditional formatting to change colour as they approach your limit and turns red when exceeded,
