In the Kanban sheet, can this be saved to PDF in card view or printed in card view ? currently it shifts to list view when printing.
Hi Glenn,
To my knowledge there isn't a way to print the Kanban view (Card View). Great idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
One possible workaround could be to take a screenshot and print that.
I hope this helps you!

Screenshot only works if all of the cards are viewable on the screen at once. I am so frustrated trying to find a workaround to share my card view with someone. Publishing it doesn't work either.
Hi Stephanie,
You should be able to publish it in Card View. In the Publish Options > Read Only - Full or Edit by Anyone > Publish Settings Default View > Card.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic week!

Thanks for reading and replying to my comment. I have tried that. You still can't print from the published version. And unfortunately, when someone goes to the published version, smartsheet does not remember the settings I used in setting up the card view the way I want it. It defaults to Level 1 tasks and changes the column that I chose for the lanes. I am now trying to figure out how I can rearrange the columns in the sheet to make the lane that I want be the default (out of the 7 potential fields for lanes) and also how to get rid of Level 1 so that the tasks that are currently at my level 2 are what show when you go to the published version. And then I still will have to zoom out so that all of my cards are visible on-screen so that I can take a screen shot and paste the cards into a Word document so that I can print. I am not the only person who uses the sheet but am the only one that has to print my tasks so rearranging the sheet is disruptive to others.
This is a huge workaround and a lot of wasted time for the lack of ability to print Card View.
Happy to help!
That sounds like a lot of work!
I'll get back to you if I come to think about something better!

I too would like to be able to print the card view version.
It seems this feature is not available anymore. Can only publish the Gantt view
it's a shame that this basic feature is not available, two years after discussed in this thread.
And we don't work for SS, you guys are supposed to have a Product Manager of some sort that drives the roadmap based on suggestions from the threads but more importantly, from the suffering of the limitations of this tool in actual projects!
Is there a way to prevent a shared user from seeing the data in the "View Detail" option? I'm trying to make sure that when a user is given access to view a report, they can only view the columns present in that report. The view might only show certain columns but the user can then click on the record as shown below and…
I have a project sheet with a Gantt chart where the timescale headings are not aligning with my project’s fiscal year and start/end dates. Configuration: - Primary heading: Quarters (displaying as Q4 2026) - Secondary heading: Months (MMM format) - Fiscal year start: February 2 - Week start: Sunday - Project start date:…
Is there an overall calendar setting whereby I can choose a specific column to display in the calendar view? I have created an additional column that gives the task name (located in a child row) as well as the main task (in it's parent row). I want that to display in the calendar. Overall creating a content calendar and…
