Can you schedule a report to run?

Hello,

I just recently setup some sheets to help with payroll which tracks piece work (we're a manufacturing shop). They input the date they did the work and the number of pieces (I've built a sheet with every single part on it and put their respective price per part that calculates the total for that part). There is also an hourly portion at the top as well.

I built a report that would pull only the lines that have input (pieces made) and also that groups the hourly stuff as well at the top.

The thing is, I'd like to have a way to schedule these reports to run automatically on like a Sunday evening so our payroll person gets them first thing Monday morning.

Right now, the guys have to remember to get everything in and run the report before they go home (not always going to happen). But they also can update their info at home, or from a phone if they forget.

Essentially I'd just like to automate the report running process for these specific reports.

Any way to do that?

Thanks

  • Hi Steve,

I just did something similar- I have a report which is scheduled to run every Friday only showing the changes made since the previous Friday.  Here is what I had to do.

    1. Open the Report.

    2. Select the Email button on the left side of the screen.

    3. fill in the information as needed,

          Format- (PDF, Excel)

    4. Look at Delivery and Click the schedule button.

Then you should be able to set it up for when you want it delivered.  I unfortunatly don't know how to do a bunch of reports at once.

    Good Luck,

    Scott

  • Hi there Scott,

Thank you very much for the explanation. I hadn't even thought to look there.

Thanks again and have a great day!
