Is there anyway that a Form can be set up to update comments in the comments section of smartsheet- I don't want to use a new column called Comments I want to be able to fill in the comments column- not sure how this is done of if this is possible.
Hi Phil,
This has been a request I submitted, dating back a year and half and there has been a lot of people who have signed on to needing this feature, but there has been no update on whether this will ever be an option. It is silly that we have to create a column to add comments that could go directly into the comments section. We have several sheets that once a webform is submitted, the comments get copied and pasted from the column to the comments.
We know this is possible, based on the row update request having the ability to add comments directly in a webform....seems a simple modification.
Thanks- appreciate your update on this.
We are in 2020. I'm not seeing the forms having the option to show all comments and allow comments to be updated. Any progress?
This option would simplify our workflow process. Eliminate the need to login the sheet to start the conversation. After it is started we work from the request updates process to add additional comments to the conversation.

I granted editor can share rights to all non licensed members and shared the publish link with them. This has worked well and allowed them to edit cells,…
