copy row from one sheet to another by using the formulas of the new one
Hi @ all,
I haven't found any solution regarding by topic within the community articles. So maybe there is a smooth and easy solution for my question.
We set up 8 identical sheets (formulas, rows) with a lot of fomulas. Why 8 sheets - because the maximum of a smartsheet sheet is by 5000 rows.
So if we would like to copy one row to another sheet the formulas of the new sheet wouldn't be used. Instead of that only the values of the row are copied. Therefore I can't add new rows in the second sheet because the formulas aren't inherited as well. .
Thanks for your help and best regards,
Thomas

A little tough to follow your flow maybe some screen shots would help. If I assume you're using cell linking there are quite a few limitations. You can paste special and create a link that way. https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/861579-cell-linking?frame=0&nav=1#paste
"Linking can be done only at the cell level. It's not possible to link entire sheets, columns, or rows." from this link...https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/861579-cell-linking?frame=0&nav=1
Sometimes there are slick workarounds. With a little more detail someone may have an idea.
