Speed issue

A colleague using a sheet with approx. 250 rows is finding it functions extremely slow. Takes a couple of seconds to respond to movement of the mouse or scrolling. The same sheet is fast for me and other team members. Any ideas what the issue might be? His browser isn't generally slow.

    Hello,

     

    This is a great question!  It sounds like this may be due to some browser extensions since certain browser extensions can cause interference with Smartsheet. To help isolate the issue, if your coworker has another browser, could he try logging in using it and to see if he experiences the same behavior there. If he's not experiencing the issue there, or he doesn't have another browser to test with, try the following:



    If he's using Chrome:

    Check to see if there are any extensions enabled in Chrome by clicking the Settings icon (three dots in upper right) > More Tools > Extensions.  

    If yes, temporarily disable each one by de-selecting the Enabled check box. 



    If he's using Internet Explorer:

    Check to see if there are any extensions enabled in Internet Explorer by clicking on Tools (gear icon) > Manage Add-ons and highlight any Enabled extensions or Toolbars and select the Disable button to temporarily disable them. 



    If he's using Firefox:

    Check to see if there are any extensions enabled in Firefox by clicking the Settings icon (three bars in upper right) > Add-ons > Extensions and select Disable for each Extension to temporarily disable them. 



    Once disabled, he'll want to access Smartsheet again to see if the problem persists.

     

    If the problem is resolved, he can re-enable the extensions selectively to determine which one conflicts with Smartsheet -- and feel free to let us know the conflicting extension so that we can relay the information to other users encountering similar issues.

     

    He will probably want to keep any conflicting extensions disabled when working with Smartsheet.



    Please let me know if the problem isn't resolved after disabling all browser extensions.
