Conditional Logic in Forms

Hi SmartSheet Community,

I'm  looking to use conditional logic in forms. Can someone update me as to it's availability? Has it been implemented yet?

I've read this discussion and posted my question there but got no response:

Also, if it has not, can someone recommend an add-on or other product to use to accomplish this while using SS. What are the SS best practices for using conditional logic in forms?

Excellent news!

This will be possible in Smartsheet soon. 😃

We will soon introduce two major enhancements to Smartsheet forms that we’d like you to know about in advance:

1. A more immersive builder UI to help get the most out of your forms, faster
2. Conditional logic to ensure each respondent is asked the most relevant questions

All of your existing forms will continue to work and be fully editable in the new builder.

Hi Mary Lou,

Smartsheet currently doesn't have conditional logic such that allows certain questions to appear based on a prior response in the form. When you have a moment, please submit a Product Enhancement Request using the form under Quick links on the right of the community site to let our Product team know that you'd like to have this feature added to Smartsheet.

You can integrate Smartsheet with Google forms with the steps in this help article: https://www.smartsheet.com/apps/google-forms-smartsheet-sync

Google forms allows you to direct people to another form based on their answer, which will give you the same result as conditional logic.

No conditional logic in forms still? This is a critical feature of a webform. Please give an update on if this feature will be added.

We could really use some conditional logic in a form, like not allowing duplicate email.  Anyone know if this is a feature?

Seeing as the conditional fields and branching have been asked for as far back as 2016, I'm really disappointed that it's not been added. Please develop soon!!!

I beseech you to please develop conditional logic for SS forms. I've tried the Google add-on, but it's causing far too many problems, and hindering the progress of my program.

Any timeline update on when this feature will be added?

I agree -we would love to have this functionality in SS forms - and not have to rely on an outside form vendor.

The Smartsheet development team did a sneak peek of Conditional Logic in Forms at the Engage 2018 Design Lab.  I'm hoping they can get it released soon!
