Is it possible to display 2 different date range diplays in the Gantt Chart?

Hi,

In the Gantt Chart, is there a functionality or a way that we can see 2 different date range displays?

For example for a project tracker, 1st date range would be the planned start date and planned end date and the 2nd would be the actual start date and the actual end date so it would look like 2 bars (with 2 different colors to identify which is planned and actual) running along the chart andΒ see whether the project is on track or going beyond.

Kind regards,

Grace

    Hi Grace,

Depending on your requirements, this is possible to do, albeit in a very limited fashion. What you are trying to do is what we refer to as a baseline in project management.

While Smartsheet does not provide native baseline functionality, theyΒ have provided a cheat guide to allow you to mimic the behaviour:

You can use conditional formatting to modify the Task Bar based on an identifier (e.g. a word in the Task Description) to kind of sort of achieve what you're after.

    Kind regards,
