How do I change a word that appears 37 times in my sheet? Ctrl H, does not work. thanks

Here is what we do:
Filter for the word, copy and paste the text into a text editor, use find+replace, paste it back in.
If you are replacing the entirety of the cell, then you can simply skip the use of the external program. Selecting and pasting over a range of cells which are filtered will only modify the data which is visible, and not the data which is behind the filter.
