User Email to update status in smartsheet

Dear Smartsheet users,

 

can I use an email to update a status?

We create a ticket in Smartsheet - then we send it to a ticket system. A status update will be provided back to smartsheet and should update the status from new to done.

 

All I found was just creating a new entry in a sheet upon email entry.
