Send Row to Email Pre-Populated from a Given Column

It would be neat if in the "Send Row" dialogue, we could check a box or some equivalent function, to populate the send-to email with the value of a given column, or the contact column-type.

This would allow us to potentially send many rows at a time, with each row going to an email address or contact field-type associated with that row.

This would allow rows to be sent to non-Smartsheet users' email addresses.

Since the attachment links expire after 30 days, it would also be nice to have the option to include attachements as actual attachments, instead of links. One can imagine a case where one wouldn't want the attachments to expire, or to have a potentially publicly-accessible link to a sensitive document (you can find any attachment's public URL by simply right-clicking the hyperlink which appears for the attachment in an email).

You can set a reminder on a sheet that gets sent to the Assigned To (or other contact list column).  We're looking at how we could enable a similar capability for notifications (e.g., Notify the Assigned To user if a row they're assigned to changes).  Makes sense to look to enable for Send Row/Send Update Request.  Will make sure it's on the enhancement list for those features.

We'll also look into the attachment options you're asking for.

    Thanks for the input!

    Same.

I try to do it with Zapier but can't manage to detect what row and what column has changed.

    John and group.

This exact problem can be solved using Azuqua, an integration partner of Smartsheet. I work for Azuqua and the conditional notification scenario you referred to is one of the many scenarios we enable inside of Smartsheet.

Using Azuqua you can set up a monitor for a change either to a row, column, discussion or new row added to a sheet and then send a notification to a person assigned to that row. The notification can also be based on matching a specific condition of a cell inside that row as well.
