Using Zapier to input formulas
Hi, I have been trying to use zapier to import a VLOOKUP formula, and the formula leaves Zapier clean, but in smartsheet it wraps in a single quote,
example '=VLOOKUP([Sales Order #]4, {SL_MS_PM ALL}, 11, false) but when I enter it without the = the single quote does not happen as soon as a string starts with a = it adds the ' to the front of = like this '=
Zapier tells me that the formula leaves their system without the quote, and thought I should check with smartsheet, just wondering is there a way around it?
thanks.

Hello,
It's possible that you're putting the VLOOKUP function in a cell that doesn't support formulas. When a cell doesn't support formulas, they'll be turned into text with a single quote in front of them. More information on cells that can't contain formulas is available in the help center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2476171-create-and-edit-formulas-in-smartsheet#noformula

Hi Shaine,
I'm having the same issue here. I'm trying to use Zapier to input formulas into a Text/Number column (which does support formulas) and it still comes over as a text string: '=INDEX(PARENT(), 1)
I'm using SCC with creates new rows on a sheet via cell links, but the auto-fill function doesn't seem to work in this case; hence trying to use Zapier as a workaround.
Any idea why this is?
