Consolidating identical project sheets

Hi all,

for each of our project we have built a simple scorecard that lists milestones / tasks on the left column, start/ end date, status, health. This scorecard is identically used for all projects since we have same deliverables for all our projects.

Ask: how can we have consolidated view for all our projects in one scorecard or report? using the report builder is not helping. Your urgent help is appreciated


  • Why is the report builder not helping ? It can consolidate a dynamic number of sheets if they are in the same folder.


    As far as I know, you have only 2 ways to easily consolidate data with Smartsheet:

    • the report builder (wich is pretty cool)
    • the Live Data Connector you can use with Excel (and Power Query)

    I don't know why report builder wouldn't be helpful, but another option would be to create a form where the data is entered. Then all forms submitted would be on the same sheet.

  • Add a "Scorecard" checkbox against each row in each sheet for the milestones concerned.  Then build a report that just filters for those items where the checkbox is ticked. 

    Does that help?

    I am trying to do exactly this but reports seem to be acting up, not refreshing or picking data from only one sheet when selected 3 identical sheets.

    Any advice?

    Apparently the reports function within Smartsheet was acting up a bit. Try again today?

    The challenge is that report builder will list all the milestones by project vertically instead of pivoting; ending up with extensive excel files that repeats all milestones list for all projects
