Dashboards and New Item Formatting

I have created several dashboards that contain multiple reports.  In each report, I have selected "Highlight Changes" to highlight any changes made in the last 30 days.  The reports operate correctly, but when I open the Dashboard, the reports on the the Dashboard do not maintain the highlighting.  If I click on the report, the highlighting is there, but it isn't showing on the dashboard.   Is there a way to keep that formatting?
