Fiscal month issue
I cannot figure out for the life of me how to write a formula that would populate "Fiscal Month Due Payment" based on the data on "Payment Date", the first three columns are the fiscal months information, the highlighted area are the results where I'd like to get a formula to do it for me.

Without being able to see what you are working with, it almost sounds as if a PRORATE formula would be your best bet. Look through the templates for a Smartsheet Formulas Example Template. That will have a lot of very good info on building formulas along with interactive examples. You can find PRORATE towards the bottom of the sheet.

Thanks Paul, I am not sure if got the message across. What I am looking for is for a formula that will fill in for me from the data in the fist three columns, for example: "Payment Date" 04/06/18 I want a formula that would lookup in the entire range of "Fiscal Month Start" and "Fiscal Month End" and populate on "Fiscal Month Due Payment" with the correct "Fiscal Month".
Regards!

Are you able to provide a screenshot or two, so we can better understand what you are looking for. Based on your most recent response it almost sounds as if a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH would be what you need.
Just trying to make sure we can get you the most useful solution.
