What the best way to manage 8,000 Projects in Smartsheet
I am new to Smartsheet and not sure how or if the program can help...I have project where I am rolling out a new program to 8,000+ locations and looking for way to leverage Smartsheet to manage. I know there is a 5K row so not sure how to proceed. Most threads talk about pulling rows out once complete but my project is a 60 day program start to finish. We have tried SharePoint but Smartsheet is more user friendly and was hoping it could work to manage the rollout.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
The best setup greatly depends on your specific needs and how your projects are configured. One way would be to split the projects in some way (area, pm, product) and then get an overview with a report.
I hope this helps you!

Andrée's suggestion of segmenting the projects into smaller groups is a good one.
Another possible path is to also think about how roll-up sheets and dashboards could help you manage the overall. I'm unsure what your needs are in terms of managing this set of rollouts and the level of detail you require, but it could be handy.
We're using this with a detailed project sheet for each implementation that covers the specific steps, task assignments, etc. Those then roll up to a summary sheet that brings each group of projects into focus. We also use a metrics sheet to feed a dashboard.
Good luck!

Thank you! I am interested in the utilizing the system to do roll-ups and dashboards so I can have one executive summary/reporting on the status. Are there any resources to explain how this is done?

Hi,
Happy to help!
The solution center is a great starting point, and you can come a long way with the different template sets.
Would that work for you?

Can you point me in the right direction for this? I don't believe it was ever shared.
Thanks!
