Hello,
Curious if an outlook alias/distribution list for a group can be used in an automated notification. I am familiar with Smartsheet groups, but the distribution is rather large and constantly changing. Would rather not have to update in both places.

Hi Randy,
As long as there's a singular email that Smartsheet can notify and your sheet/account level notification settings are set to send notifications to anyone with a valid email address, you should be able to send notification emails to an alias.

Anyway we can make this view only for security purposes? We would like to prevent users from sending responses to other users by accident.
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
