Inserting New Columns and copying formatting
I have a sheet where I need to add some more columns in the middle, however when I go to insert the columns, the formatting and coloring of the cells follows the columns at the end of the sheet, rather than those on either side of it. Does anyone know how to make it so that when you hit "Insert Column Right" or Insert Column Left, it will copy the formatting of the cell you click on? This seems like a basic detail to overlook.

Hi Brian,
If you marked the whole row and changed the color or formatting, it would follow to the new columns. You could also set up conditional formatting rules to decide how it should look. Another option could select the cells and drag them to the new columns to copy the formatting.
I hope this helps you!
