I am trying to use the below formula to have an average of answers but it is not working 

can anyone check the formula and let me know what is wrong 

=((COUNTIF(CHILDREN(), "Excellent") * 5) + ((COUNTIF(CHILDREN(), "Very Good") * 4) + (COUNTIF(CHILDREN(), "Good") * 3) + (COUNTIF(CHILDREN(), "Fair") * 2) + (COUNTIF(CHILDREN(), "Poor") * 1)) / COUNT(CHILDREN()))

You parenthesis were mismatched:
