I want to use an image for a Dashboard banner however, I cannot find any size dimensions for it and some experimentation is not working. I note this shows on Smartsheet's own examples yet I can't reproduce it. See attached screen shot.
On your dashboard, if you click Add Widget and then Image, you can add an image to your dashboard. I've seen no way to overlay text onto an image. I'd like to be wrong about this.
You would have to use another program to overlay the text on the image, then save it as an image (after adding text). Then you can use an image widget to place it on your dashboard with the text overlaid.
TeeM,
Are you referring to the same issuing I asked about here?

Craig
Donnie and Paul,
I have no issue in overlaying text on to an image as I can easily do that in Photoshop or similar. What I can't seem to do is fill the widget area with an image.
J. Craig Williams,
Yes. This is the same issue but I don't see any solution to the problem.
There isn't one except trial and error. The grid addition helps a bit, but not much.
If you know PhotoShop or Gimp, you can determine the size you need the image to be and get something that works. I let people with different skills than I have do that, but I'm pretty sure that is what is required.
Ah. Ok. I haven't been successful at filling the widget area either. The only way I have found to make it look that way is to change the dashboard color to white (which I hate). You'll still see a little bit of the widget border, but... I'm thinking maybe smartsheet could work on this a little bit.
Try creating an image that is at least 8000 x 2000, then stretch the widget the full width of the sheet once you've uploaded it to your sheet.
I'm receiving this message every time I try to open my sheets. I'm the only admin user. I have already performed proper troubleshooting, such as clearing the cache, logging in incognito, and logging out and back in, but the issue remains unresolved. It's been a few days, and I'm unable to track our projects and this…
I’ve created an automation that generates a document and forwards it to the individual specified in a cell. The line item also has several additional attachments associated with it. Is there a way to include those attachments with the generated document?
I have an automation set up that copies a row to another sheet each day. The automation itself works correctly, but the problem is that it copies the formulas rather than the values, which causes the formulas to break and return errors. How can I configure it to copy only the values instead of the formulas?
