Smartsheet Development progress update?
Hi Travis and colleagues, great comunity forum, very impressed!
Can we have an update on when we will see hours and minutes added to project plans, I seem to recall this was planned for the Spring this year? Also Gantt on Reports?
We have clients waiting for these features.
Thanks RichardR

Yes, this function would be very useful.

This is exactly what I just logged in to find out. I only purchased Smarthsheet a few days ago and was confused when this didn't seem possible. It would be very useful to be able to say how many hours a task is expected to take, then to indicate the timeframe over which those hours had to be spent using the start to finish columns.

Hey Richard,
Thanks for asking. We are finishing up core development and getting deep into the testing cycle for hour and minute durations on projects. This change will result in a data migration so we are spending quite a bit more time testing migration scenarios that normally wouldn't be reqired. We are still a few weeks away, currently shooting for mid-June.
Cheers,
Robin

Does the release of the duration change also include the critical path functional that was also commited to Spring 2015?

Critical Path is also what I have my fingers and toes crossed for.

Hi everyone! I am happy to announce the ability to view critical path and set partial day duration (hours, minutes, and seconds) is here! Check out my announcement for more information and to ask questions: https://community.smartsheet.com/announcement/new-smartsheet-critical-path-and-duration-minutes-hours-and-weeks

The duration functionality is working as expected, so I am glad your have been able to bring that to the table. What I haven't been able to locate is how to modify the format of the start and finish columns that present the date to the user. While I can now populate just an hour for the duration, there is no way to see in the start and finish fields which hour it will start and when it will end. Am I missing where this format of the date can be modified?

Jason, the ability to set a specific start and end time was not included in this release but it is something we are tracking feedback for. Thanks for asking!

+1 to this feature request please.
Our teams do planning by the hour, and they work 24/7, so this is really a needed feature for us.
