Simple Calendar View for Mailing Schedule
Hey there,
I created a grid to show a mailing schedule for affiliate promoting a product launch. I made the primary column for the names of all the affiliates, and then I made date columns to the right for all dates between Sept 5 and Sept 21. Then in the rows for each affiliate name I went across the grid and entered the dates in the date columns when they have committed for mailing.
However when I switch to Calendar view, only the affiliates in the Sept 5 column are showing up in the dates. All other dates in the calendar are blank.
In calendar view under settings, I have set a date range of Sept 5 through Sept 21. I am not sure what other settings I have gotten wrong.
Seems like a simple project but I must have missed something here?
Thanks!

Hi Jeremy,
You can either have a start date or a start and end date. Smartsheet will only show these dates in the calendar view. You would need to structure the sheets(s) in another way. You could change the structure of your sheet to make it work. You could have multiple sheets and then collect/show it in a report.
Would that work for you?
I hope this helps you!

Thanks Andrée, I was hoping for an easy solution with one sheet, as this calendar is just one of many reports I'm having to build to get reporting data for our launch. Creating multiple sheets for 150 different affiliates across 17 days does seem like a bit of a project.
Thanks!

Happy to help!
You could also flip the design of the sheet. Dates downward and Affiliates across.
Would that work?

To keep it all on one sheet and working the way you want with Calendar view, you will need all of your dates in one column (two if using start/end dates).
