Home Page Organization
I'm a new SmartSheet user and I think being able to order by the column names is a great feature. Are there any plans to add a feature to move items (sheets, reports, dashboards) up or down to customize the order of the sheets/reports/dashboards in your folders on the home page. Maybe just right clicking it brings up the option to move up or down?

The only way to modify the way your Workspaces and folder are listed is by creative naming as they are listed Alphabetically so while you are a new user, give some thought to how you want them to be listed!
For example using an Underscore _ as the first Character will list that name before ABC. etc
I suggest some experimentation to get what you need while it is all easily planned.

Yep, what Richard and Andrée said. Some people number the Workspaces, either numerically or by Project ID
