Creating a Report that ONLY shows rows with Attachments

Is there a way to filter out rows that show up in my report that do not have attachments?



I'm building a report that shows my subcontractors any row that's had an attachment added to it in the last 7 days, but I can't seem to find a way to get the Report Builder to only show rows with attachments added. 

I realize I could add a checkmark column named "Attachment?" or something to every sheet the report pulls from, but I'd rather not if possible.

Hi Josh,

Unfortunately, there aren't specific criteria in reports to show it, but I have a possible workaround.

If you set up an Alert & Action - Approval Request to trigger when an attachment is added and set the status to something like Attachment added, and then in the report, you can use that status only to show the rows that don't match (doesn't have any attachments)

Would that work for you?

Andrée, I would like to do the same thing--create a report that shows which rows are missing attachments, but as a new user I'm not sure how to go about initiating the steps in the proposed solution. Can you please provide a little more detail to your solution?

I believe @Andrée Starå it talking about setting up a workflow to trigger when an attachment is added, with the Action block of the workflow being an Approval block (see here).

Then go to the Advanced Options:

And in the Advanced Options you can customize the message that this workflow provides automatically in a column whenever an attachment is added:
