Rows in Reports Not Pulling Sequentially from Project Plan

I have a project plan in which the order of rows appears as per the first screenshot. However, when I pull these rows into a dashboard, the order changes (to the second screenshot). The report must have the rows in the same order as they appear in the project plan, as they are sequential. Does anyone know the solution to this issue? These reports are pulled into dashboards for executive reporting and this is causing a major issue. Thank you!

Have you checked the sorting settings in the report?

I would make the same suggestion as Andree. It appears as if your report is sorting by the Milestone Column alphabetically.
