Slack (Float) Time

We currently don't have a float feature in Smartsheet or potential workarounds to suppliment this feature but I've got your votes down for this on our enhancement request list for review by our Product team.

This is a much needed feature.  Without the system managing float/slack properly, it essentially turns SmartSheet into a manual planning worksheet.

 

I signed up for SmartSheet late last year to manage an ERP project, but am now considering going back offline with MSProjPro and providing management with static weekly reports.  I'm not sure I want to spend the next year manually adding lag to dependencies to keep the project timeline up to date.

Smartsheet is a highly flexible platform. As an experienced user, I can accept the fact that templates have few indicators because I know how to build my own ones by means of the formulas.

Please, consider this feature as highly important.

Users are requesting it since October 27, 2015 !

Great tool! So impressed.

Float (slack), both Free and Total, and ability to integrate/API would allow your product to drive portfolio management solution even if it cant take on P6/MSP  capabilities in the execution phase.

Please add it. I can then consider recommending smartsheet to clients

We would also like this feature added. It is very frustrating to have to break relationships just to move an end date.

I agree slack/float time is critical functionality. It would seem that is has been requested for quite some time. Please consider adding it soon.
