Adding 'time" fields ?

Hello community.

Wondering if there is the capability of capturing "time" in forms and sheets. I would like field engineers to log what time they arrived on site, then left via a Time field. I would then like the master sheet to calculate time spent on site.

Any ideas?

Thanks

    I could not get in the 101 training yesterday.  My system said Blocked.  Is the training part of UTube?

    Thanks,

    Diane

    Hi Stuart, while you can set task durations in time (down to the second) and perform calculations off this data, there isnt a built in method to display start and and times for tasks, although you can display this manually in a Text/Number column.

    A time column is somehting our Product team is looking into for future releases and I will add your vote for it.

    Here is an exmple I am working on for client time tracking for billing purposes.

    This is a webform that populates a tab, where I have a formula to calculate the hours and minutes together.  https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form?EQBCT=08ba987910cd4ffc91228f1844514713

    You can do something very similar and give users and easy way to enter tasks and time.

    Here is what the end result would look like.  I will leave this public for a week or so and then remove. http://publish.smartsheet.com/a8b61bfd66f64e92b192b308a6693dd2

    Chuck, if you only want to show duration, you can enable dependencies and use the duration column. It can track weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds (and any combination of those).

    This would require a start and end date column in your sheet, but the end date column can be hidden if you do not need it.

    User can add a start date and duration in web form, just use the first letting of the duration type:

    1w = week

    1h = hour

    1m = minute

    1s = second
