MS Teams Conversation Integration with Smartsheet Comments

Currently, the O 365/Skype for Business Chat feature integrates seamlessly with the Comments function in Smartsheet so that users can have Skype for Business IM discussions directly within a row that are then preserved into the Comments for that row.  Although Smartsheet currently offers an integration with MS Teams it is only allowing (limited) Smartsheet functionality within MS Teams but does not provide for Ms Teams functionality within Smartsheet like the Skype for Business IM feature.  As Microsoft is actively transitioning away from Skype for Business to MS Teams, are there any plans to integrate MS Teams communication features into Smartsheet similar to Skype for Business, Google Hangouts, etc.?  With the rollout of MS Teams in our organization, Skype for Business will be disabled.  Will that prevent us from using the Skype for Business Chat features in Smartsheet?

Thanks for your post! I've let the product team know that you'd like to see MS Teams functionality with comments similar to the Skype for Business IM feature integration, and they will consider it for potential future development. You can also submit a Product Enhancement Request using the Quick Links to the right. I don't have any insight regarding if or when these features may be released, but I'm sure the product team has a close eye on Microsofts activity regarding Skype versus MS Teams.

Since the Skype for Business integration requires you to authenticate to your Skype for Business Account in Smartsheet, you'll most likely be unable to use the Skype for Business Chat features in Smartsheet after you organization disables the service. Hello, I would be very interested in this functionality as my company retired skype and is using MS Teams. I have gotten feedback from my users that having chats all flow through our chat tool would be a great add. Especially with Enterprise firewalls, sometimes the Smartsheet messages get locked in email jail and don't get to the users.
