Can a “successors” column be displayed?

I agree.  A successors column would make planning and using Smartsheet so much easier.  I can't imagine it would be too hard to do.

How was this missed?  I cannot believe this was not part of core code.  I recently managed a program with over 350 resources and 10,000 line consolidated project plan with 25 groups each with a sub-plan. We then reviewed each plan weekly.  We would confirm the critical path for each sub-project and then for the entire project. 

The baselined project was printed on 42" x 72" plotter paper and put on the wall.  It was 7' X 25' long with a bright red critical path that management could walk up to at anytime and could trust it was technically accurate.  The projects had a start milestone, an end milestone and the successor and predecessor columns that were all filled in at the lowest task level.  This made sure we had an accurate critical path.

It was one way to keep large projects in focus by requiring an accurate critical path be available, the only way to check is to have a successor column.  

I VOTE YES!!!! FOR THE SUCCESSOR COLUMN!

This is not the only request that is sitting idle. I feel like Smartsheets is being neglected and see our companies use going another direction. We were attempting to use Smartsheets for our PM software and we are now going back to MS Project. The cost of using for a glorified excel sheet is getting hard to justify when new features are not being rolled out.

It becomes very hard to follow things when you apply filters on the project.

For a gold star, make the dependencies hyperlinks to make navigation around the project easier.

A Successor column is really needed, even view only. Until this happens, I will have to use MS Project where I can easily see impacts of date changes. Please add this enhancement.

I agree with everyone else.  This enhancement is really needed.  We have four project managers stating they would like have it.  I'm trying with the some workarounds with moderate success.

Yes, it appears that Smartsheet views Project Management as an area which requires less focus than other use cases they wish to target.

Please add this. I am encountering resistance from our PMs in moving completely to SS from MS Project due to the lack of successors and float. Both of those should be possible given the other functionality is present. Please add!

Can someone from Smartsheet please provide an update for when this feature will be implemented? As many others have already said, a complete implementation of a successor column, that automatically recalculates, is an essential piece of information when managing active and evolving project schedules!
