New Feature: Add a Custom Tooltip to Your Columns

You can now add a description to the header of any column in your sheet.

These descriptions provide an alternative place for column-specific instructions and information—help your team use your sheet more effectively while freeing up the top rows for work.

Column descriptions support links and up to 250 characters. See the Use the Best Column Type for Your Data help article for more information

Great. Now if we could just get this functionality to appear in a report.... thoughts on this, Shaine?

I agree with Heather, do we have a status on if and when the column description will also show in a report on a dashboard? Our consuming users do not have access to the sheet, just the dashboard and it is these users who will benefit the most from the column description.

Unfortunately, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit this as a Product Feedback or Idea (If it hasn't been added already) when you have a moment.

As a possible workaround, you could add a text section, but it would always be visible.
