Smartsheet to Word Document
One of the ways, we utilize Smartsheet it is track the publications that come out of research. A few times a year, we are required to report on all publications and they need to be formatted in a specific way. Is there an option to transform a row into a Word friendly version v. the information being in row format. Currently, we use an End Note database for formatting.
Below is an example of how we need them formatted:
S. Eveland, S. Thiminaiah, M. G. Marshall and G. Miller "Γ-brasses in the Mn-Zn system: An experimental and computational study" Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 2019, 269, 297. DOI 10.1016/j.jssc.2018.09.045
Thanks.

Hi Beth,
There are a few different ways to do this.
You could use the integration to Google Docs, Docusign or similar.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic weekend!

If you didn't want to go the smartsheet integration route you could do something a bit more involved via the api token, you could use a scripting language of choice to gather the info relevant info from smartsheets and place on page. For instance using python, you would gather the data from smartsheets via the API, use the pandas package to organize the data and then print that organized data onto page via the docx package

Hey ThomasH,
I really need something like that. I need to print some documents for each project I have, and each project is a row in smartsheet. I would like to find a way to fill my template already created with some specific columns from smartsheet and print some different files from my pc so for each project I'll have a workpack with all the files I need with the correct info. At the moment I have to print everything manually.

Have you looked at the integration with Google Docs? You could use that to create the documents you need at once and convert them to Word.
There is an add-on, Smartsheet Merge that can create Google Doc documents and PDF's. Is that an option?

Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!
