Formula for a group selection

I want to count the number of items when their description contains a certain word.  

Count if Description contains the word "grey".  There would be multiple descriptions with the word GREY in the column. Ex. Dark Grey, Grey Mist, Green Grey, Blue Grey. I want a total for all items that are GREY.

Is this possible? Other software would you let you put a * to indicate that this is a partial name search.
