Level a resource in a Sheet?

Hello,
Thanks for your post! Currently, there isn't a feature which will automatically level out or reschedule over-allocated resources in your project, but you can submit a Product Enhancement Request using the quick link to the right. You'll want to manually re-allocate your resources according to your needs. It may be helpful to insert two additional date columns for Planned vs Actual Start and Finish dates which can be switched in the Project Settings to give you different views of the sheet. I've linked some additional resources for this below:
- Resource Management and Allocation
- Project Management Tutorial
- Quick Guide: Mimicking Baseline Functionality in Smartsheet
I hope this helps!

This is disappointing. Unfortunately the lack of this feature disqualifies the software for my organization. Is this on any sort of roadmap?

Hi,
Have you looked at 10,000ft?
Smartsheet presented some more details about the 10,000ft capabilities at Engage.
Speaking more broadly, with the integration of 10,000ft, Smartsheet customers will benefit from the ability to plan and allocate resources across their projects, optimize resource allocation by function or skill set, track time against forecast, and gain real-time portfolio level visibility into the status of budgets and deliverables.
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic day!

Hi, I currently have smartsheet and 10000ft but can not find the features that can level resources similar to MS project. Is there a leveling feature? We may have to switch back to MS Project because it is difficult as tasks move around to reallocate resources manually.
Also, is there a split-task feature because this also makes the process difficult when resources need to be shared among our tasks.

Has this been updated in recent years? I also need to level resources so a valid schedule is created. Is the only way to create a schedule to add predecessors in for each task?
Thanks,
James

Hi,
Following on from James' comment, has this been updated? If not, I will have to give up on Smartsheet - without this feature it's too limited to justify its use.
All the best,
Enzo
