Smartsheet forms with text formatting

Hello. Is there an option to allow text formatting/editing (such as bullet points, bolding, italics, hyperlinks) in a form linked to a smartsheet? I have a column in a sheet named description, which I would like users to give a comprehensive description using the Form. Ideally similar to the formatting options I see within this community forum window.

Hi Ray,

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment to do more advanced formatting in forms, but it's a great idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

A possible workaround could be to use Headings and dividers or a third-party form service.

Would that work?

I'm not entirely sure how Headings and dividers could be implemented (perhaps by using text/characters?)

Using third party form services does feel a bit daunting with possible security implications, particularly if attachments are involved.

There is a built-in ability to add a Section Divider with Heading/Description or a horizontal divider (see link below) You could also use specific text elements or Emojis (*--__<<>> ???▪️◾️)

Using third-party form services does feel a bit daunting with possible security implications, particularly if attachments are involved.

There are several trustworthy third-party solutions like Google Forms, Formstack, JotForm and more so it shouldn't be an issue but if it's sensitive material, I'd advice to check the specific service thoroughly.

Hi,

i has create quiz sheet with form and the columns with drop menu , I need to add formula to count the wrong answers , I also specified the wrong chooses to be bold text , is there is formula can help me in that case ?

Yes, we can structure the sheet to count the wrong answers.

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
