Group Management and Admin Rights

I am the admin on our enterprise account. I just set up some groups for one of the retail departments but it looks like I can't transfer group ownership to anyone else in the group unless they have admin rights. I obviously don't want to give admin rights to anymore people but I also don't want to own all these groups.


Am I understanding that correctly and if so, are there any work arounds?
