Tracking Time Between Tasks

Hello!

I want to show on a dashboard the time it takes to get to each step.

For example, I have five columns - all are checkbox columns where each time one is checked it automatically alerts the appropriate person to move onto the next step (a new column). When all five columns are checked, the task is considered complete.

Is there a way to show the duration it takes to get to each step (each checkbox column)? I know you can add an auto system generated column, but that only shows updates to the whole row..

There is no timestamp feature based on what you are looking for. The time would have to be manually entered, and depending on your format the calculations can get a little convoluted and take up a lot of space.

Hi Nicole,

Paul is correct that there isn't a time stamp feature yet in Smartsheet.

A possible workaround could be to set something up with a third-party tool like Zapier or similar.

Would that work?
