Circular Dependency error

Hello,

I am getting a "Circular dependency" error when assigning a dependency, but I cannot find any circular dependencies, in fact I've just started adding the dependencies. Below is the part of the sheet where I'm having difficulty. When I try to add "199" in the depency column of any of the rows 201-204, I get the circular dependency error.

Hi David,

I had that issue rise up yesterday afternoon for about an hour. I ended up signing out and signing back in. Then deleting the dependency and retyping it in and it stuck. Smarthsheet must be dinkering with the system.

What is your dependencies for row 199? Finding a circular dependency (if there really is one) can be a bit of a pain, especially when you start factoring parent and child rows.

I found the problem. Apparently, I can't follow a row across to the row number. Even after checking for that error.
