Include Attached Document in a report

Hey team I have been using SmartSheets since day one and I continue using it. I have a question about a report that I have built.

I have a report that I have built that pulls in all my projects plans title ROW 1 based on a where clause for Example "Client Name - Project Schedule". In the actual ROW I have included the latest Weekly status word document.

This report is then being presented on a dashboard.

I would like the ability to add the column that contains the uploaded document within the report so when a user us viewing from the dashboard they can view the latest word document.

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's a great idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

A possible workaround could be to use the Web Widget feature in dashboards to show the report and then the attachments will be visible.

Would that work?

Thanks for the speedy response. I have used the web widget before and that would work however I have a lot of project and that would take additional real estate on the dashboard. HOWEVER

I just realized I could add a URL Link to the specific cell that points to a shared link from Google Drive for the document. This however means I would have to update the link to the Specific Word document every time I create a new document for that week as the naming convention for the document is based on date. I could point to the folder on google drive as an alternative but that means the user now has to find the latest. Not bad but most users are not going to sort a list of 100 reports to find the lastest.

I'd prefer having it the way I described. Ill request an enhancement. Thank you!

I'd like to vote +1 for including attachments in reports displayed on a dashboard.

If you publish the report and include that URL in a Web Content Widget on the Dashboard, the attachments column will be available.

This is a great idea and I need this function to enable me to create a customer portal where they can see the status with safety inspections and pull the safety report themselves.
