Update Requests Sending Multiple Copies
I have some update requests triggered to send to an email in a contact column after a symbol column becomes starred, which is based off of a formula. I have that column turn to a star after it's been 4 days since the date in the "Week Of" column. The dates in that column are always Sundays, and I want the star column to be clicked and send out an update request once Friday hits, so 12am Friday. I actually have the update request sent at a 1 hour delay, so they should go out at around 1am. See screenshot below for details on the formula.
This has worked the past 2 weeks. This week for some reason, my update requests were sent out three times- at 1:48am, 6:48am, and 10:48am.
Anyone have an idea why? Does it have something to do with my formula?
Thank you

Hi,
Sounds strange!
Can you share a screenshot of the rule as well and maybe share the sheet(s)? That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic weekend!

It could have something to do with the use of the Today() formula. The Today() formula only updates if someone opens up the sheet. So if a sheet wasn't opened on the right day/time it would still be holding the old date. Or if someone opened it early, those could also affect the day/time. I also have seen other comments about notifications and timing being off. Please share the rule, and perhaps notify smartsheet support about the behavior as well.

Just got off the phone with Support.
They said there is currently a bug where alerts and update requests are sending out multiples.
No word on when it will be fixed. It is not publicized on their site, and it's not guaranteed that it will be mentioned once it gets fixed.

Update on this: Looks like it's been fixed now.
The bug coincided with their new feature of date triggers that they added to the update requests, so that could have been the reason.
